My name is Mrs. Kendra Smith and I am a graduate of Oakland University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching, K-8. This is my 6th year teaching first grade. Our classroom is a very busy place to learn. Our classroom is structured by a variety of hands-on learning activities, games and centers. In addition to academics I orchestrate activities to develop creative skills and interests of students. I believe that each child is unique and learns in a different way. I help children develop individuality and work alongside them to maximize their potential.
I live in Ferndale with my husband and 16 year-old twins, Tucker and Mason. I like to spend time outdoors hiking and kayaking. I enjoy reading, cooking, and photography. I am active in my church community as well.
